Payment can be processed automatically when configured; other payments may need review. How that works
Good to know
Paying for Pro
Pro is $5/month or $48/year. Checkout runs on Stripe. When configured, payment can be processed automatically after verification. Otherwise, or if something needs review, activation requires manual review. Your committed account plan determines when Pro is on. Your account page shows when it's on. If you've paid and it still says Free, email support rather than paying again.
What counts toward a limit?
All your tunnels share one monthly budget, which resets on the first day of each month (UTC). Each HTTP or MCP request counts once, and so does each WebSocket or TCP connection. Transfer counts what your app sends and receives: request and response bodies, WebSocket messages and TCP data, both ways. Encryption and protocol overhead don't count.
At a limit, tunn stops taking requests or moving data and tells you why. There are no overage charges. Check usage in your account or with tunn usage. Upgrading raises the limit; it doesn't reset this month's usage. A download already under way can stop partway when you hit the limit.
Uploads max out at 100 MiB, and each tunnel has a speed cap. Your local server has to stay running.
Keep a webhook or connector URL
Free keeps 1 name for you; Pro keeps 10. tunn keeps a name the first time you use it, if it's free, and random names count too, so pick yours with --name on your first run. Past the limit, extra names last only while the tunnel runs, and someone else can take one while you're offline. To change a kept name, email support. Quickstart
Next to ngrok
| Plan | Price | Transfer | Requests |
|---|---|---|---|
| tunn Free | $0 | 10 GB | unlimited (fair use) |
| ngrok Free | $0 | 1 GB | 20K HTTP requests |
| tunn Pro | $5/mo or $48/yr | 500 GB | unlimited (fair use) |
| ngrok Hobbyist | $10/mo or $96/yr | 5 GB included | 100K HTTP requests included |
ngrok Hobbyist can use credit for extra usage. Sources: ngrok pricing and pricing limits, accessed 2026-10-12. Units differ: tunn counts HTTP and MCP requests that get through, plus WebSocket and TCP opens, and bytes in both directions; ngrok counts HTTP requests and data out.
